Save Your Money! – It is important to save money and also know how to save money because you never know what or when things might go wrong. Saving money does not mean you are being an economist or you are becoming too poor, but it is only a very wise thing to do. On this article I will be showing you great ways to save your money.

1.  Stop doing collection and start selling off old stuffs

Some time ago most people thought their collection would bring them riches (lol), which never did eventually. There are some items we do know of that were ones the trending stuff. Now you can find those items on resale sites like Craigslist and at garage sales for a fraction of their initial cost, leaving many people who sunk thousands of dollars into them (collection) wondering what happened.
If you would want to prevent situations like this, you should never ever collect items of questionable value. Recovering your money back now won’t be easy but you can start by selling them now and use the money you get back for any worthy financial goals.

2. It is time you become creative

Now if you want to save money in this way, creating your own homemade gifts is one way to accomplish this. You can make food mixes, candles, fresh-baked bread or cookies, soap, and all kinds of other things at home quite easily and inexpensively.

3. Write up a list before you go out for shopping and please be sure to stick to it

One of the easiest and best ways to save money is to only go shopping when you have all what you are buying written down. This is simply because when you are without a list, you will only end up buying things you didn’t plan for or budget for and this will cost a lot. Creating or making a list before you go to the Market is very important; it can also help you avoid buying food you might waste. Always create a list and, more importantly “BE SURE TO STICK TO IT”.

4. Call your friends to come over instead of you going out to meet them

Eating outside has a way of completely destroying both your food budget and your entertainment budget. And no matter what, it is always cheaper to stay at home with friends and come up with your own entertainment.

5. Don’t spend too much on entertaining your children

Children, especially the little ones, can be entertained very cheaply. Play ball in the backyard or you teach them to ride a bike without training wheels once and for all. This is a very simple and easy plan.

6. Cleaning out your closets.

Cleaning out your closets can help too, just go through your closets and find anything you no longer use. Then, get rid of it and make small profits while doing that.

7. Always drink more water.

Now not only does drinking plenty of water have great health benefits, it also have financial benefits, too. Drink a big glass of water before each meal in order to stay fuller longer and ultimately eat less. Not only will you save on the food bill, but you’ll also feel better after you become properly hydrated besides  tap water is not only just as clean as bottled water, it’s also free so enjoy.

8. Make sure you avoid going to fast food/ restaurants

Now instead of eating fast food, try making some simple and healthy replacements that you can take with you. An hour’s worth of preparation one weekend can leave you with a ton of cheap and easy dinner and snack options for the following week.

9. (Important) Quit Smoking

This is a very important part of this article. As a smoker, you will know by now that your habit is not only expensive, but potentially deadly as well. If you want to add years to your life and save a boatload of money, the easiest thing to do is to stop smoking and drinking too.

10. Always turn off the lights to save your electricity bill.

I hope you do know that keeping the lights on in your home may not be expensive on a per-watt basis, but it sure does cost money as time goes on. To save as much as you can, turn off lights any time you leave your house, or even when you leave the room. Turning off lights when you have plenty of natural sunlight can also help keep your electric bill down as time goes on. If you are not using any light at home, turn it off.

11. Buy things (appliances) that are of high quality that will last you.

Make sure you do a little research before you purchase a new appliance. An appliance that is energy-efficient might cost you a lot but once purchased can save you energy and last you for a very long time thereby helping you save money for a long time.

12. Teach yourself how to fix things.

Back then it was kind of difficult to find ways to fix everyday items we have in our homes. But today, with the internet you can become very good at it. You can find online tutorials and videos that show you how to fix almost anything, and all for free. No matter what you’re trying to fix, it’s always worth a shot. Learning a new skill never hurts either. You can always go to places like www.youtube.com and get some tutorial videos that will help you on this.

13. Always forge ahead and never look back

Never you allow the mistakes of your past drag you down into more mistakes. Instead, always look further. Learn to see past mistakes for what they are. Sometimes the best life lessons are learned through life experience, good or bad, so embrace your past and don’t run from it and by you promising to do better and setting goals can help keep mistakes where they belong which is in the past to never surface again.

14. Don’t ever give up

Giving up is a word for the weak and one thing you must know is "life is survival of the fittest" so whenever the struggle against debt feels like it’s becoming too much, go read a personal finance blog or get a finance tips book and remember that there are a lot of people out there fighting the same fight as you are. So don’t you ever give up.
